This study provides guidelines for integrating accessibility into journalism education, as well as technical requirements for content management systems to enhance digital media accessibility. The thesis underscores the need for collaborative efforts between public administrations, companies, and users to achieve accessible ICT services. 

Some of the key findings are:

  • Accessibility barriers: Many digital media platforms in Spain have significant accessibility issues, particularly for people with disabilities.
  •  Journalists' role: Journalists often lack adequate training and tools to produce accessible digital content.
  • Educational integration: There is a need to include accessibility training in journalism education to improve the production of inclusive content.
  • Collaborative effort: Achieving digital accessibility requires collaboration between public administrations, media companies, and technology developers.

The study proposes specific technical requirements and guidelines to improve content management systems used in digital media.

These findings emphasize the importance of accessibility in digital media and the need for systemic changes to support inclusivity.
