How to use assistive technologies to improve the engagement in education, daily life and employment of people with cognitive disabilities?

The article provides examples of different low-tech and high-tech assistive technologies that could support the person in sensitive areas of personal skills’ development like following daily routines and assisting with daily tasks, managing time effectively, enhancing memory recall and attention, understanding social interactions and managing intensive emotions.

Concrete tools for support, learning and communication are presented in relation with the diverse needs of people with intellectual disabilities, autism, dyslexia, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, dementia and memory disorders, as well as with traumatic brain injuries.
