We have been part of a working group that has prepared a proposal for indicators for universal design in the manual. From the start, we distanced ourselves from the usual accessibility thinking, write five debaters in this debate post.
This article critically discusses the updated DGNB sustainability manual and its approach to accessibility and universal design. It raises awareness of the challenges of integrating accessibility within sustainability frameworks. As a debate piece, it provides valuable insight into professional discussions in the Danish built environment sector.
