Disability rights, strategies and cross-sectoral governance in Europe (2023)

The Swedish Agency for Participation has conducted an overview of national and international disability strategies and models for cross sectorial governance in Europe. The overview aims to increase knowledge within the area of disability policy in the European context and will hopefully contribute to fruitful dialogues and experience exchange about this important topic.
The strategies are summarized based on the following five themes:

• Focus areas and general measures for inclusion
• Integration of international agreements
• Cross-sector governance, implementation and monitoring
• Involvement of organizations representing people with disabilities
• Integration of gender equality and child rights perspectives
