The report presents a series of reflections on universal accessibility, considering the accessibility needs of people on the autism spectrum. It also offers a list of tools to improve the accessibility of environments, providing recommendations to ensure their safe and appropriate use.
To this end, the report offers a general context on autism and the main characteristics and needs that define this condition. It then presents the concept of universal accessibility, its dimensions, and its implications; and subsequently analyses the main characteristics of accessible physical environments for autistic people. Finally, the report offers a summary of its conclusions, as well as a list of the bibliographic sources that support the considerations contained therein.
