Ghid general de accesibilizare: Celebrarea orașului, Timișoara 2024 - A general guide for accessibility: City Celebration Timișoara 2024

This guide aims to provide event organisers with a series of recommendations and best practices to ensure the accessibility and inclusion of all participants, regardless of their physical, sensory or cognitive abilities. The guide's purpose is to highlight the importance of making public events - such as concerts, festivals, and fairs - accessible, especially in a central area with special cultural significance like I.C. Brătianu Boulevard, Civic Park, and I.C. Brătianu Park in Timișoara.

Accessibility isn't limited to people with physical disabilities; it also includes the needs of neurodiverse individuals (autism, ADHD, etc.), those with sensory or intellectual disabilities, the elderly, families with small children, and other groups who may face difficulties with mobility or access. Implementing accessibility measures not only improves the experience for all attendees but also strengthens the image of organisers as champions of inclusion. The guide offers a comprehensive framework to identify and remove barriers that could prevent equal participation in public events.

The document has been prepared in the context of the Timisoara - European Capital of Culture 2023 and subsequent actions, under the grant agreement no. 43/24.07.2024 concluded between Centrul de Proiecte Timisoara and Supereroi Printre Noi Association.
