Description

This guide to inclusive communication is a way of using communication that is "accessible to all", ensuring that everyone feels equally taken into account.

It has been produced following extensive research by the government, supported by associations working in the field.

Whether for audio-visual, digital or written communication, this guide gives advice and recommendations on how to make all communication as accessible and inclusive as possible.

As soon as inclusive communication appeared, i.e. using a "mixed" script, it became clear that people with mental disabilities, deaf people or people suffering from a "dys" disorder felt lost when faced with this new way of writing, which did not take their difficulties into account.

This guide shows you how to use inclusive communication while ensuring that it is accessible to people with disabilities. Documents, websites, applications, etc. can only be made accessible if the written and visual content is also accessible.

Dutch version: Gids voor inclusieve communicatie. Voor toegankelijke, begrijpelijke en wervende overheidscommunicatie.
