Description

Editorial information: Aalborg Universitetsforlag.

In this article, the authors criticize existing design approaches, and instead argue for a design approach that involves users with disabilities.

By involving users with disabilities, it is possible to change the idea of accessibility to be about simply living up to certain requirements and instead being about contributing to social justice.

The authors unfold their argument by using different cases in relation to for example the notion ‘situated knowledge’.

The article is part of an anthology about universal design.
