The investigation into the implementation of the accessibility directive has analyzed how Swedish law relates to the directive and submitted the necessary constitutional proposals.
All products covered by the directive must meet the requirements that are established. In addition, there are requirements for which properties, parts and functions must be present in order for people with disabilities to have access to perceive, handle, understand and control the product.
These measures must be taken so that the services are provided in such a way that people with disabilities can use them to the greatest extent possible.
Information must be provided about how the service works and, if products are used in the provision of the service, about its connection to these products as well as about their characteristics in terms of accessibility and interoperability with assistive devices.
Websites, including associated web applications, and services for mobile devices, including mobile apps, shall be made available in a consistent and effective manner by making them perceptible, manageable, comprehensible and robust.
If support services (help desks, teleservice centers, technical support, call mediation services and training services) are available, they must, via available means of communication, provide information about the service's availability and compatibility with technical aids.
The requirements must apply to products and services on the market after 28 June 2025.
