Šešėlinė ataskaita apie žmonių su negalia teisių įgyvendinimą lietuvoje - Shadow Report on the Implementation of the Rights of People with Disabilities in Lithuania

The 2024 Shadow Report of the Lithuanian Forum of Disability Organisations (LNF) assesses the implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Lithuania.

The report reveals that while there are positive changes, significant challenges still remain: limited access to physical and information environments, slow deinstitutionalisation process, insufficient development of mental health services, discrimination in the labour market and low inclusion of people with disabilities in political and social life.

The LNF emphasises the need to strengthen the participation of regional organisations in decision-making, improve access to education and health services, ensure legal capacity and promote public education about disability.

The report was prepared in cooperation with 17 organisations and is based on the structure of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
