Editorial information: Elektrotehniški vestnik. ISSN 0013-5852.
The paper presents a study on the suitability of various assistive technologies designed for people with sensory or mobility impairments.
The findings are the result of the research project The Impact of the Fourth and Fifth Industrial Revolutions on the Lives of People with Disabilities.
It introduces approaches to ensuring the accessibility of multimedia content for different groups of people with disabilities, including the deaf and hard of hearing, the blind and visually impaired, and those with mobility impairments.
The study includes an analysis of documented assistive devices, along with the results of interviews conducted to evaluate these devices with participants from various disability groups. Finally, the assistive technologies are also examined from a legislative perspective.
