AccessibleEU Belgium - Challenges of accessible housing: Standards, uses and innovations in adapted and adaptable housing (26-AW-BE-01)

Day 1 – Monday 20 April: Adaptable housing, the key to successful home care and independent living projects.
Day 2 – Tuesday 21 April: How to transform ordinary housing into housing adapted for wheelchair users.
Day 3 – Wednesday 22 April: How to choose the location of adapted or adaptable housing.

These sessions will present standards related to housing adapted to people with disabilities, adaptable housing and will discuss what is meant by an accessible environment in terms of public transport and urban spaces.

Through practical sessions which include role-playing, a fun and interactive introduction to standards, testimonials and exchanges of experiences, participants will be able to contribute to the creation of adapted and adaptable housing that comply with standards and meet the real needs of people with disabilities or the elderly.
