This event has started.
In collaboration with leading pool construction companies, AccessibleEU will host three information sessions, each combined with a site visit to one of their facilities. These sessions will cover the requirements of the A+ label, best practices in inclusive design, the Accessibility Act, and practical insights for municipalities and pool operators.
Through these events, AccessibleEU aims to promote inclusion, inspire action, and equip stakeholders with the knowledge and tools to create truly accessible sports facilities across Flanders.

- Introduction – Welcome, workshop framework, and introduction to AccessibleEU (5 minutes)
- Presentation by Lago / Farys / City of Aalst – Explanation of their approach and process for addressing accessibility in this swimming pool (design, interdisciplinary collaboration, and their perspective on the A+ label) (25 minutes)
- Presentation by Inter – Overview of the A+ label, the Swimming Pool Decree, and good practices (1h30 + coffee break)
- Guided Tour of the swimmingpool to illustrate accessibility (in Two Groups) (1h30)
