In this workshop, representatives from ministries, various institutions, universities, faculties, professionals, associations of persons with disabilities, equipment manufacturers, etc., will address the European Accessibility Act (EAA) with a special focus on built environment.

The objective is to transmit the latest information on EU regulations in order to better and timely harmonize them at national level.

The existing “Rulebook for ensuring the accessibility of buildings for persons with disabilities and reduced mobility” will become the Technical Regulation in force from 28th June 2025, three days after this conference. In this conference, textual and graphic changes and amendments to the Technical Regulation will be professionally described, explained and analyzed.

Other interconnected sectors of accessibility will also be addressed, such as transport, ICT and AI, public policy, standardization, education, health, etc.

As last year, at the 1st National Conference, an evacuation exercise for people with disabilities in special and emergency situations will be carried out in co-organisation with the Public Fire Department and the Civil protection of the City of Zagreb.
