AccessibleEU Czechia - With Théseus over the Obstacles 2026 (26-NW-CZ-01)

Co-organised by AccessibleEU and ICCHP, this event will focus on the practical implementation of accessibility requirements arising from the Web Accessibility Directive (WAD) and the European Accessibility Act (EAA).

  • Expert meetings

It aims to provide participants with up-to-date information on the legislative framework, enforcement mechanisms, and practical steps needed to ensure compliance with current and upcoming accessibility obligations.

The event intends to bring together representatives of public sector bodies and private organisations affected by the requirements of the WAD and the EAA. It will also be valuable for accessibility experts and researchers, designers, developers, individuals with disabilities, and other stakeholders interested in creating more accessible products, services, and digital environments.

The programme will feature presentations by representatives of key public institutions responsible for accessibility policy, regulation, monitoring, and enforcement. Participants will gain insights into recent developments, implementation challenges, and examples of good practice from both the public and private sectors.

In addition to policy and regulatory topics, the event will address practical aspects of digital accessibility, including the design of accessible digital interfaces, transcription and captioning, and user experience. An FAQ session and thematic workshops will provide opportunities for discussion and knowledge exchange among participants.
