AccessibleEU France - Tomorrow at night: Well-designed lighting for all (24-WS-FR-02)

This workshop  will be a platform to exchange internationally on good practices and standards on the important topic of light design.

This AccessibleEU workshop is co-organised in collaboration with L’Observatoire de la Nuit, Nantes Métropole, Ecole Nationale d’architecture de Nantes, and hosted by L’Ecole de design.

The objective of the event is to work on the theme of reasoned lighting. When the accessibility standard requires 20 lux in outdoor spaces and even 50 lux in parking areas, what about the constraints related to energy savings and biodiversity protection? Shouldn't

we change our approach to lighting with notions of contrast and light bands? Should we reinvent the design of nighttime atmospheres? This event is an opportunity for a time of exchanges and cross-views, around an exhibition linked to 4 years of work at the Nantes

Atlantique School of Design, to reflect on other ways of thinking about lighting design, or to integrate a design process into the standards?
