While accessibility has gained increasing attention in recent years, people with intellectual disabilities remain largely overlooked in architecture, communication, digital accessibility and public services.
The programme brings together self-advocates, practitioners and researchers to present emerging approaches, discuss design principles for cognitive accessibility and highlight the importance of participation in planning and design processes.
Participants will also gain insight into the ongoing development of the Campus Lebenshilfe Berlin as a practical case study. The event itself will demonstrate accessible conferencing through a range of accessibility measures.
