AccessibleEU Greece - Making culture more accessible and inclusive for persons with disabilities (25-NW-GR-01)

With the aim of promoting accessibility and inclusion for persons with disabilities in the cultural sector, this AccessibleEU event co-organised with National Confederation of Disabled People of Greece (NCDP), brings together key stakeholders.

Its main objectives include:

  • Raising awareness and deepening understanding of the diverse accessibility needs of persons with disabilities in the cultural sector, by identifying and highlighting existing barriers.
  • Promoting the integration of accessibility into the planning, design, and implementation of cultural spaces, services and programmes by public, municipal, and private institutions.
  • Encouraging collaboration among cultural professionals, policymakers, and representatives of the disability movement to foster more accessible and inclusive cultural policies.
  • Supporting the active participation of persons with disabilities as creators, professionals, and audiences in cultural life.
  • Showcasing successful and innovative accessible cultural initiatives as examples of good practices.
