AccessibleEU Lithuania - The needs of persons with disabilities in emergency situations (WS & MLE-LT-01)

In this event organised by AccessibleEU, rescuers are trained on how to help persons with disabilities in emergency situations.

The war in Ukraine and the Belarusian nuclear power plant right next to the Lithuanian border has led Lithuania to review legislation related to civil safety and assess the readiness of emergency management services help people with disabilities. This workshop is intended to introduce the specifics of different disabilities, know-how aiding and performing rescue work. It will be carried out in cooperation with the Lithuanian Disability Forum, the Department of Fire Protection and Rescue, and the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania.
