AccessibleEU Luxembourg - Accessible municipalities: Understanding the concept Design for All (24-WS-LU-01)

AccessibleEU National Expert on accesibility, Silvio Sagramola, will explain the objectives of the AccessibleEU project, as well as the problems arising from the diversity of legislations and practices at European, national and local levels making it very difficult for citizens with disabilities or other activity limitations to access their right for full and equal participation.

The ministers responsible for the municipalities and for accessibility will point out the national context and several municipalities will present the initiatives taken at their level. The intention is to share knowledge and experiences encouraging thus municipalities that are not yet active in that field to be inspired.
