AccessibleEU Sweden - Visible and invisible disabilities - a networking event about meeting accessibility needs for all (26-NW-SE-01)

The most well-known symbol for persons with disabilities shows a person in a wheelchair. The wheelchair is clearly visible. But most disabilities cannot be seen. This, however, does not mean that those who are affected have no accessibility needs.

Expert meetings

The first objective of this AccessibleEU event, co-organised with Funktionsrätt Östergötland,  is to find and share answers to questions such as:
• What are invisible disabilities?
• What accessibility needs may come with these disabilities?
• How can we make society more accessible for persons with visible as well as invisible disabilities?
• To what extent – and when - should invisible disabilities be made more visible?

The second objective is to gather people in the Linköping region who care about accessibility, to network and  strengthen their community.
