The Collectif Accessibilité Wallonie Bruxelles published the Guidelines for Accessible Events, a practical guide to help organisers make their events accessible to all.

This free, easy-to-use 80-page resource draws on more than 20 years’ experience and provides specific recommendations adapted to real-life conditions and the often temporary nature of events. It covers all aspects of accessibility, including organisation, spatial layout, programming and communication.

Designed for all event professionals — from festival organisers to venue managers and communications teams — the framework applies to events of all types, whether indoor or outdoor.

The guide aims to ensure that accessibility becomes a core criterion of event quality, benefiting not only people with disabilities, but also a wider audience including older people, families and those with reduced mobility.

A practical checklist is included to support implementation and ensure consistent standards.

It is available in French and Dutch.
