The project, which was presented by Max Hahn, Minister of Family Affairs, Solidarity, Living Together and Reception of Refugees, proposes a series of actions aimed at promoting social inclusion. These actions include workshops for professionals of the hospitality sector focused on 5 types of disabilities namely visual, hearing, physical, intellectual and hidden disabilities.

Additionally, a set of educational videos will be produced to convey the correct way to interact with people with disabilities. The videos will also teach a few sign language gestures that can be useful for professionals in the gastronomy industry.

The Government will also apply silent hours to coffee shops and restaurants on 3 December, on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Silent hours are meant to provide a calming environment for people sensitive to sensory stimuli.
