The European Standards Bodies CEN/CENELEC are conducting pre-normative research on two new European Accessibility Act (EAA) relevant standards on non-digital information and support services.
These new standards, that are being developed, will specify the technical accessibility requirements for all the products and services covered by the Act:
- The harmonised standard for the accessibility of non-digital information related to products and services such as printed materials.
- The harmonised standard for the accessibility of support services related to products and services such as help desks, call centres, technical support, relay services and training services.
The focus of the research is on user needs and solutions to accessibility barriers in the two areas that the standards will cover. EDF would like to contribute to the research bringing the OPD’s prospective on the topic and is collecting inputs on user needs, solutions and requirements for accessibility for those two harmonized standards. All inputs on requirements are most welcome.
If you want to provide input, fill in this short survey by 4 December.
