AccessibleEU’s progress during the first three years has far exceeded initial expectations. More than 54,000 people have participated in the Centre’s activities, a figure that doubles the target set for said period.

The programme has organised over 250 technical meetings, specialised workshops, awareness-raising sessions and European events, some of which have tripled attendance forecasts.

In addition, online training has enabled more than 3,700 professionals to complete specialised courses that strengthen the technical skills needed to apply accessibility rigorously and consistently across all sectors.

Knowledge generation and dissemination are another of the most notable contributions. AccessibleEU has built a digital library with 420 best practices and 380 bibliographic references so far from the 27 Member States, making it easier for institutions, companies and experts to access updated solutions, guides and materials.

Additionally, AccessibleEU’s Community of Practice, hosted mainly on LinkedIn and Moodle, already brings together more than 5,800 members.

Looking ahead to 2026, AccessibleEU will expand the annual update of indicators in the 27 Member States and incorporate new guides and technical studies.

Moreover, it will continue offering online training, and organise sector-specific meetings in areas directly affected by the European Accessibility Act, such as housing, transport, e-commerce, payment terminals, audiovisual services and banking.

The Centre’s goal is to continue fostering a European ecosystem that promotes training actions, strategic alliances and resources to advance towards fully accessible environments.
