The Spanish National Police opens a nationwide accessibility office

The creation of the National Accessibility Office follows a commitment by the Spanish National Police to comply with the rights of persons with disabilities.

The office, launched on November 2025, will implement the plan called in Spanish Policía Nacional Incluye (National Police Includes) which will promote universal accessibility in all areas of police work and remove barriers that hinder the rights of persons with disabilities or of those in need of special protection.

Specifically, it aims to serve as an observatory that brings together the institution's resources and actions related to training staff and assistance to citizens with disabilities.

In addition, the office seeks to act as social interlocutor in Spain starting and maintaining relations with other national and international public administrations and private institutions that promote and protect the rights of persons with disabilities.
