A changing rooms toilet / “komfortka” in polish/ is a room dedicated to persons with significant disabilities or elderly people where they can take care of a personal hygiene, change their clothes, change diapers or even change a catheter in a comfortable and dignified environment.
The Nieodkładalni Foundation from Gliwice offers a portable changing room free of charge to ensure accessibility for people with disabilities and the elderly. A portable changing room is a portable version of “a komfortka” that can be set up during outdoor events. It consists of a 3m x 3m express event tent with four independent walls, providing an intimate space, equipped with the following amenities to ensure comfort for users:
- tilt adjustable couch.
- medical waste basket.
- toilet chair adapted for the disabled.
- pink box equipped with personal hygiene products for menstrual periods.
- wheeled helper for underpads and hygiene and care products.
It is also possible to rent a version without a tent with a screen, as a retrofit for a restroom or a room designated for this during an event.
The service is aimed at organisations/institutions/government bodies planning events in public space, wishing to increase its accessibility for people with disabilities and the elderly.
