The gov.cy Unified Design System is the single point of truth, on how to design government online services and websites for gov.cy. It’s purpose it to create a citizen centric, consistent, clean and intuitive user experience through the gov.cy that is accessible to everyone, and comply to the Web Accessibility Directive and National Legistlation.

The system consists of designer and developer assets, as well as documentation and guidance for creating online services and content, using standarised styles, elements, components and patterns.

All elements in the design system, have been tested and they comply with the EN 301 549 Standard. However, the creators understand that this does not automatically ensure compliance by any team that uses the design system to create web content. They have therefore created a section on each design element’s documentation, dedicated to accessibility best practices.
