The ‘Senses’ [Aisthiseis] programme was developed in the framework of the H2020 ReInherit programme which aimed at making culture accessible to all.
"Senses" was launched at the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation following the principles for the social development of museums in Relnherit project, and made permanent changes to its museums and actions that promote and facilitate the participation of all people with disabilities and other groups of people often marginalized from cultural heritage sites and activities.
The programme includes Workshops, Guided tours and a Museum travelling kit, that all offer opportunities for accessible museum education and experiences in multiple modalities, including tangible objects, braille, audio guides and descriptions, and sign language.
Some of the museums’ buildings also follow the built environment accessibility national law and regulations (of 2018), and the relevant standard.
