The National Action Plan on Disability 2022–2030 (NAP Behinderung II) is Austria’s long-term national strategy for implementing the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
Adopted in July 2022, the plan builds on its predecessor and was developed through a multi-year participatory process involving civil society and representatives of persons with disabilities.
It outlines 8 thematic areas, nearly 300 policy objectives, and 375 concrete measures. Additionally, 150 indicators have been defined to measure progress. The focus areas include awareness and accessibility, education, employment, independent living, social participation, protection and safety, women with disabilities, and statistical data.
The plan is a cross-ministerial commitment to advancing equal opportunities and full societal participation for persons with disabilities across Austria.
