The Pélion educational portal offers freely available materials on the use of information and communication technologies in conjunction with assistive technologies for visually impaired users.
The aim of the Pélion portal is to increase the digital literacy of users with severe visual impairment and to enable them to make full use of the possibilities offered by the currently available information and communication technologies.
The target group is:
- Severely visually impaired users of computer-based assistive technology,instructors of computer-based assistive technology,
- professional staff of service providers for students with special needs at universities,
- other interested parties from the general and professional public.
The Pélion portal is operated by Teiresiás - Support Centre for students with Special Needs of Masaryk University.
