In theory, Universities and scientific institutions are pivotal in implementing the European Accessibility Act through various significant roles. They drive innovation by researching and developing technologies aimed at improving accessibility. These institutions are also fundamental in educating the next generation of professionals, integrating accessibility into curricula across relevant fields such as design, engineering and IT.
Distinguished and experienced accessibility experts from relevant organisations are invited to discuss about this topic and how the different stakeholders could help each other to reach the goal which was set up by the European Accessibility Act and other regulations in Europe after an opening keynote of Inmaculada Placencia Porrero.
Over the past 35 years, ICCHP has grown to become a leading conference in the field of e-accessibility, assistive technologies and digital inclusion for people with disabilities.
