AccessibleEU European Event - Empowering National Experts of AccessibleEU: Collaborating with Disability Organisations and Organisations of Older People (24-WS-EU-04)

To achieve the Centre’s goals, it is essential for the national experts to engage groups that benefit directly from accessibility such as persons with disabilities and ageing adults.

The Centre is composed of a network of 34 national experts who serve as focal points and antennas for the Centre in each EU Member States.

11:40 – 12:05 Understanding the role of disability organisations and organisations of older people
- Julia Wadoux, AGE Platform Europe, and Alejandro Moledo, European Disability Forum, will give a comprehensive overview of disability organisations and organisations of older people, their functions, challenges, and impact on shaping policies and initiatives on accessibility.
12:00 – 13:00 Collaboration: AccessibleEU national experts / disability organisations / organisations of older people
- 12:00 – 12:10 Guillaume Dufresne, AccessibleEU, will explain where the input from disability organisations and organisations of older people is crucial for the work AccessibleEU and what AccessibleEU can offer to them.
- 12:10 – 12:40 Two AccessibleEU National Experts will share their experience, achievements and challenges working with disability organisations and older people´s organisations. One EDF member and one AGE member will talk about practical guidance and best practices for engaging with disability organisations and older people´s organisations.
- 12:40 – 13:00 Participants will be able to share their experiences and impressions, as well as their questions to the speakers.
