Conferences, business summits, concerts and similar events bring people together and contribute to the wellbeing of societies as well as individuals. But events need to be accessible. Otherwise they also contribute to exclusion.
For an event to be accessible, there are many things to consider. First of all, the physical venue must be accessible. But this is not enough. Even digital systems used for invitations and tickets need to be accessible. Transportation to and from the event needs to be accessible, as well as any content presented on a stage.
This event will introduce and discuss several different qualities that make events accessible. And of course, we plan to make this event itself as accessible as possible.
