FIHO Foundation Slovenia allocated 19.3 million euros for disability and humanitarian organizations

The funds will support special programs and services that address social distress and problems faced by individuals and groups of people with disabilities.

Meeting of the Council of the Foundation for Financing Disability and Humanitarian Organizations

At its regular session, the Council of the Foundation for Financing Disability and Humanitarian Organizations (FIHO) approved the final account of FIHO for the year 2023. Last year, FIHO allocated 19.3 million euros for the implementation of special social programs and services of disability organizations and humanitarian programs to address social distress and problems, or to meet the social needs of individuals.

During the session, the Council supplemented the composition of supervisors, who will also oversee the targeted use of FIHO funds in 2024. FIHO councillors also approved funds from the reserve fund for disability and humanitarian organizations.

For over a quarter of a century, the FIHO Foundation has co-financed programs, operations, and investments of disability and humanitarian organizations in the Republic of Slovenia. Support is provided to diverse organizations that assist people in need, individuals with disabilities, patients, and youth, advocating for the improvement of their quality of life. These organizations focus on various needs, including education, healthcare and psychological support, disability rights, and ensuring a more dignified life.
