The European Disability Forum (EDF) and ORACLE are hosting a webinar about ICT standards for accessibility next Thursday, 19 September, from 16:00 to 17:30.
Standards are technical documents that can contribute to increasing accessibility of products and services for all people, including persons with disabilities. By setting out specific requirements or describing in detail a specific procedure, standards facilitate accessibility of ICT products and services in a digital world. Standards also support EU policies related to accessibility, such as the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and the Web Accessibility Directive.
In this EDF webinar organised jointly with Oracle, different stakeholders will present:
- The ongoing standardisation work in support of the EAA.
- The initiatives that AccessibleEU has implemented to support the disability community in the standardisation domain.
- Oracle’s experience and approach to accessibility and related standards.
- The future of accessibility standards.
Registration is required. Follow the link to access more information on the event and how to register.
