Online system provides data on the accessibility of the Lisbon metro

Since July 2023, Lisbon has an inclusive mobility project, a pioneer on the European continent. It's called Willeasy and it's a universal and free data system that covers accessibility details of the metro network, a search engine to filter the needs of users with reduced mobility and twenty tourist itineraries for people in the same condition. 

The project is named after the Italian startup Willeasy, whose work aims to contribute to more inclusive urban mobility, as it is dedicated to improving the transport experience for persons with disabilities. 

The Portuguese capital has become the second European city — after London — to provide this type of service. The system includes data such as the number and availability of escalators, elevators, station entrances and exits, platforms, flights of stairs, stairlifts and even the gap between the carriage and the platform.
