Accessible Nature Park Glamping - Latvia

Joint Stock Company "Latvijas valsts meži" has created a nature park glamping "Podziņas" in Tērvete parish, Dobele municipality, next to the Tērvete water reservoir and nature park. 

As of 2024, glamping has angler or summer houses, five glamping tree houses, six underground houses, and camper and tent sites. Two of the six underground houses are adapted for people with reduced mobility, including those using wheelchairs. These houses have single-level floors and wider doors ensureing free movement. Additional handles are placed in the toilet facilities. Underground houses have been built in compliance with the requirements laid down in the Latvian Construction Law and Cabinet regulations in the field of accessibility of the built environment. 

It is possible to visit Tērvete Nature Park  that  includes the Dwarf Forest with small wooden houses and thematic yards. The trails here are suitable for wheelchair users and parents with prams. In the area of about 400 ha of landscaped territory, the attractions are easy to reach for people with disabilities, pedestrians, cyclists, and families with prams.
