The Easy Web Check is a simplified (not complete) checking method that allows you to quickly find the most common barriers in your websites.
It examines 53 of the 94 mandatory criteria according to BITV 2.0 (Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung) and thus the most common accessibility problems. It can also be carried out by non-web professionals. BITV 2.0 (in English: Barrier-Free Information Technology Ordinance) is a regulation for fair access to information technology in Germany.
Semi-automatic testing combines automatic tools and manual visual inspection. The Easy Web Check is intended to enable ordinary web users to find barriers on websites and to be able to communicate them, even during the development process of a website.
Attention: The Easy Web Check is not a replacement for more detailed testing methods when it comes to proof of accessibility.
