BMCC, the Exhibition, Meeting and Congress Centre in Bruges is the first Flemish meeting and conference location with an M+ accessibility label and can call itself a well-accessible conference infrastructure. A nice recognition for the state-of-the-art building that only opened its doors in January 2022. The BMCC in Bruges has a multifunctional event space (exhibition hall) of 4,500m², an auditorium for 516 people with foyer, 12 meeting rooms with foyer, a catering area for 500 people and a VIP area for 90 people.
A meeting venue can distinguish and certify itself in Flanders with the protected label accessible meeting infrastructure. The label, which exists in 3 levels (M, M+ and M++), guarantees meeting and congress organisers that BMCC is easily accessible (M+) for everyone. The label includes criteria not only for wheelchair users, but also for people with an auditory or visual impairment. This reward with the M+ label comes thanks to the joint efforts of the BMCC's building team, Inter and the City of Bruges.
