The Centre for Support of Students with Special Educational Needs supports students in all aspects of their academic life – learning and assessment, administrative services, participation in the cultural life of the New Bulgarian University. It takes care of both their adaptation and the adaptation of the academic, normative and material environment to them.
Tutoring programme leaded by 38 tutors is accessible for all students, including those with special educational needs. Programmes with specialized support, consultations, adapted library place, alternative communication, and online training are provided to deaf and hard of hearing students, visually impaired students, autistic students, students with developmental dyslexia and students with severe motor limitations.
Under the supervision of a supervisor and in exchange for credits for practical work, in the form of mutual support (a project of the Tutoring System), students from the upper courses of the BA "Speech Therapy" and students from the MA.
