Access for All - Design Guidelines

Based on the the principles of universal design, this document provide general guidance to the minimum standards of most of the elements and structures likely to form part of the physical environment and that would allow a disabled person to independently enter and make use of the facility.

The guidelines provides a framework to direct creative efforts in providing an accessible environment in new and existing buildings. Most of the dimensions that appear in these guidelines should be regarded as minimum requirements. Where circumstances permit more generous dimensions should be employed.
