Description

A guide to how to conduct access audits of existing buildings and built environments.

An access audit is a system of measurement and description of how well the environment and method of service delivery meet the needs of existing and potential users. It identifies where physical barriers may compromise access to services by assessing the feature against predetermined criteria and measures the 'usability' of facilities within a building or environment and the services being delivered. Includes UK legal background, case studies and extensive checklists.
