Description

Editorial information: Publications Center of the Technical General Secretariat of the Spanish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation.

This third version of the guidelines focuses on the UNE-EN 301 549:202022 standard and the Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/1339, as well as the new market tools for reviewing accessibility in mobile applications.

The guidelines has been designed to help developers and evaluators of mobile applications (APPs) in terms of accessibility, especially considering that, from the application of the aforementioned directive, companies that work for the public sector will have the obligation to create accessible mobile applications.

This  guidelines aims to help to generate native mobile applications accessible for the main operating systems on the market (Android, iOS andWindows), as well as evaluate their level of accessibility, being able to detect and correct possible barriers  to users with disabilities. Furthermore, the contents described can be used to apply continuous improvement (multiple iterations of evaluation and subsequent correction), which will make it even easier for any user (regardless of their abilities) to use the target application.
