Act on digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications public entities - Dostępności cyfrowej stron internetowych i aplikacji mobilnych podmiotów publicznych

The Act implements Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on the accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public sector entities. The Act concerns the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities.

It introduces the obligation to place declarations of accessibility on websites. It defines the competences of the Ministry of Digitization in the field of monitoring websites and mobile applications and its rules. Describes the procedure in case of non-compliance with digital accessibility. Digital accessibility means compliance with WCAG 2.1 requirements (level AA).

These requirements are in line with clauses 9, 10 and 11 of EN 301 549 V2.1.2. According to the Act, all public entities must have accessible websites. These are units of the public finance sector, state organizational, administrative and educational units, etc.
