Description
This guide was written by practitioners for practitioners. It is intended to provide guidance on how to create accessible documents in a university context.
By “documents” we mean all electronic media that are not displayed as part of a website (so-called “non-web documents” in EN 301 549). There is a legal obligation for public bodies to make all these web documents available in barrier-free form.
This guide is divided into several parts: An overview of content types and which file formats are best suited for them. General requirements that apply to all file formats. Guidelines for barrier-free design for the individual file formats. Where possible, reference is made to existing resources. Content recommendations for a statement on accessibility, which documents the status of accessibility and, if necessary, deficiencies in the file formats used.
This handout is aimed at everyone who has to do with electronic documents, in particular: clerks, lecturers, IT officers, accessibility officers.
