Description

Maintaining the quality and consistency of a design system is a continuous challenge, especially as it evolves to meet new requirements. At DSF, we use visual regression testing with Percy, a visual testing and review platform, to maintain the reliability and visual consistency of our design system’s developer assets during updates. In this post, we’ll explore how Percy fits into our workflow and the benefits it provides. Percy integrates seamlessly into DSF's workflow, automatically identifying and notifying the team of visual discrepancies through the CI/CD pipeline. This process enhances collaboration, preserves brand integrity, and delivers a consistent user experience across various devices and browsers.

This publication is a blog post aiming at briefly explain what visual regression is testing and why it is important. Then it informs possible users and other designers why DSF chose to use Percy and how this is applied, by giving real examples of its application.
