The World Wide Web has become a crucial part of daily life for a substantial portion of the world's population. However, while 16% of the world's population live with some type of disability, many websites remain inaccessible.
Web developers play a crucial role in implementing web accessibility, yet they face numerous challenges in doing so. This thesis investigates the challenges developers face when implementing web accessibility and explores practical solutions to improve web accessibility implementation.
Through a mixed-methods approach, combining both survey responses and semi-structured interviews, this thesis aims to provide insights into the perspectives, attitudes and experiences of web developers.
