LEGE nr. 232 din 19 iulie 2022 privind cerințele de accesibilitate aplicabile produselor și serviciilor - Law 232 on the accessibility for products and services

The Law no 232 from 19 July 2022 transposes the European Accessibility Act and aims to ensure that products and services are accessible to people with disabilities, promoting their inclusion and participation in society. 

The law sets out specific accessibility requirements for various products and services, delivers indicative, non-compulsory examples of possible accessibility solutions, details conformity evaluation procedures for the products and for the services, and establishes criteria for disproportionated burden.

It also establishes several supervisory authorities responsible for enforcing the accessibility requirements for products and services and sets ranges of penalties for non-compliance.
