Description
The UNI/PdR 131:2023 reference practice defines the requirements for the design of accessible tourism services and provides benchmarks with the aim to foster an overall transition towards a more accessible offer this sector.
The new edition further integrates and details accessibility requirements in accordance with the principles defined by the ‘design for all’ approach and in collaboration with associations representing people with disabilities. The document devotes attention to the issue of conformity assessment and related audits across three explanatory appendices providing: recommendations for certification under accessibility accreditation, a checklist for conducting audits and an example of verification report.
The document should support improvements in terms of accessibility of services such as accommodation, catering, sport and tourist facilities, MICE and transport services as it enables providers to make the services offered certified and therefore more competitive on the tourism market.
